Secure Supply Chains

Leading retailers are committed to eradicating forced labor.  For more than 20 years, our members have implemented some of the most rigorous measures to ferret out unethical practices and to support ethical manufacturing around the world. When we discover evidence of forced labor, our members act – resulting in stronger protections for workers, payment of unpaid overtime and severance pay, and better and safer working conditions around the world.

RILA and industry partners are pushing U.S. leaders to stay focused and engaged with allies and organizations to end forced labor practices and the larger campaign of oppression it fuels. Imposing broad, unworkable enforcement actions on businesses will not end the atrocities like those taking place in China. RILA is advocating for U.S. leaders to join forces with industry leaders, NGOs and other governments to identify constructive solutions to increase transparency so we protect the rights of workers and ensure the integrity of global supply chains.
