Workplace Safety Committee at RILA's Retail Asset Protection Conference 2025
Overview
The Workplace Safety Committee convenes retail safety professionals to identify leading practices that minimize incidents and injuries of employees and customers. The committee maintains strong partnerships with enforcement agencies, supports regulatory compliance and assists in respective legislative efforts.
The committee serves as a forum for benchmarking, networking and the leading exchange of best practices. Committee interactions include bi-annual meetings and bi-monthly calls. Recent topics covered by this group include: the emerging/latest safety technology, effective training of associates on company safety measures, recent OSHA rulings regarding personal protective equipment in safety zones, workplace violence and safety organizational structure.
The Committee Goals include:
- Providing valuable information and strategies to equip retailers with the necessary knowledge and tools to prioritize safety in all aspects of their business. Our objective is to establish a safe and secure environment for everyone involved in retail operations, (internal stakeholders, associates and consumers), by adhering to best practices consistently at the state and federal levels.
- Introduce members to cutting-edge technology that addresses the crucial concerns of top retail safety executives and enhances the safety and overall satisfaction of customers.
