Director, Regulatory Affairs & Compliance
The Director, Regulatory Affairs & Compliance is part of RILA’s Legal and Compliance Team and
reports to the SVP/Deputy General Counsel. This position is
responsible for leading and facilitating activities for RILA’s Consumer Product
Committee (comprised of members’ regulatory compliance and QA executives as
well as in-house counsel). Position will also help provide support for other
RILA member communities on an as-needed basis. Responsibilities include advocacy,
written and oral, before government officials, including the Consumer Product
Safety Commission; Federal Trade Commission; Department of Energy and the Environmental
Protection Agency, on critical consumer product-related issues impacting the
retail industry. Additional responsibilities include, planning and executing member
meetings and educational offerings, fielding and responding to member questions
and collaboration with internal colleagues to provide outstanding member service
and contribute to the overall success of RILA. Some travel may be required but
less than 25 percent.
