- Unpacking the FTC Green Guides Request
On December 20, the Federal Trade Commission published a notice requesting public comment on its Guides for the Use of Environmental Marketing Claims, or Green Guides. The FTC is looking for stakeholder input on the efficiency, costs, benefits, and regulatory impact of the Guides to determine whether to retain, modify, or rescind them. The comment period is now open through April 24. RILA is currently collecting input from members for comment on the Guides. If you would like to share feedback, please contact Susan Kirsch.
On January 19, RILA was joined by legal and regulatory experts Helen Ogunyanwo, Holly Melton, and Preetha Chakrabarti of Crowell & Moring LLP for a webinar to level set the FTC Green Guides request and provide additional background information.
