Overview
RILA's General Counsel Committee is composed of the general counsel of each of RILA’s retail member companies. General counsel have a wide range of responsibilities within their companies that begin with their organization’s legal and litigation needs but often extend to areas such as compliance, risk, government relations, privacy, security, asset protection and many other areas.
The General Counsel Committee provides an opportunity for the leading legal executives of the retail industry to learn from each other and to benchmark at an executive level on strategic issues. The GC Committee’s activities include two in-person meetings each year, an annual survey of retail legal department structures, periodic benchmarking surveys, and conference calls as needed.
RILA members have full access to past meeting presentations, reports and benchmarking results.
For more information on RILA's General Counsel Committee, please contact Deborah White, General Counsel and Senior Executive Vice President of RILA at deborah.white@rila.org.
