Issue on Appeal:  Whether the court should review and vacate an arbitral award which, among other things, quoted and relied on language not actually appearing in the relevant provision of a contract while purporting to interpret that provision.
RLC’s Position: The RLC's brief stresses the importance of finality of arbitration awards generally but explains that judicial review is merited in the narrow circumstances in which an arbitrator fails to interpret the actual language appearing in an agreement.
Counsel: Adam Unikowsky and Jonathan (“Yoni”) Marshall at Jenner & Block
