Robles v. Domino's

Issue: Class Actions
Court: U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit

RLC's Position:
The RLC joined the Restaurant Law Center and other business associations in filling an amici brief in this case which raises important questions surrounding whether websites are places of accommodation under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

The brief highlights that businesses are actively working to improve their website accessibility to assist the visually impaired community to use commercial websites, yet these businesses continue to face numerous lawsuits challenging their websites. The brief underscores the need for guidance from Congress or the DoJ to clarify businesses' specific obligations, if any, under Title III as it relates to websites.
