About the Retail Litigation Center
Retailers face increasing litigation risk, coordinated plaintiff strategies, and evolving legal standards across jurisdictions. The RLC exists to ensure the retail industry has a unified, informed voice in litigation matters that affect retailers broadly.
RILA founded the Retail Litigation Center as a separate entity in 2010. While RILA focuses on public policy and industry advocacy, the RLC focuses on litigation defense and appellate advocacy for the retail industry.
Membership is available to retail corporate counsel from national, regional, and global retail companies. The RLC is designed for legal leaders responsible for managing litigation risk and legal strategy for retail organizations.

Yes. The Retail Litigation Center hosts member meetings and, in partnership with RILA, cohosts the Retail Law Conference. The RLC also collaborates with RILA legal committees on events focused on litigation strategy, appellate advocacy, and emerging legal issues affecting retailers.
