The RLC submitted a brief asking the Ninth Circuit to grant a petition for rehearing to clarify that the time an employee spends undergoing security screening is not compensable under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Case Outcome: 
The Ninth Circuit denied the petition for rehearing en banc, allowing a plaintiff to proceed in a lawsuit claiming that the time employees spend waiting to undergo security screening is compensable under the FLSA.
