Comments on Partnership to Protect Workplace Opportunity

Re: Defining and Delimiting the Exemption for Executive, Administrative, Professional, Outside Sales, and Computer Employees; Proposed Rule (RIN 1235-AA20) (84 Fed. Reg. 10900, March 22, 2019)

These comments on the proposal to change the criteria for the executive, administrative, professional, outside sales, and computer employee exemptions from the overtime requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) are submitted on behalf of the Partnership to Protect Workplace Opportunity (PPWO). The PPWO consists of a diverse group of associations, businesses, non-profits and otherstakeholders representing employers with millions of “white-collar” employees acrossthe country in almost every industry who will be impacted by the proposed changes.
