Retailers Urge Senate to Confirm Judge Gorsuch

The Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) President Sandy Kennedy issued the following statement today as the U.S. Senate enters the confirmation process for U.S. Supreme Court nominee Judge Neil Gorsuch: 

“The Retail Industry Leaders Association urges the U.S. Senate to confirm Judge Neil Gorsuch to serve on the Supreme Court of the United States.  The U.S. Supreme Court has been hindered in its ability to decide cases of national importance because of the vacancy that has existed on the Court for more than one year. Judge Gorsuch is as eminently qualified a jurist today, as he was when he was confirmed for his present service on the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals without a single dissenting vote. We urge Senators to acknowledge Judge Gorsuch's credentials and confirm him to the Court to ensure our constitutional system of checks and balances is fully restored."
