Impact of Supply Chain Disruptions on Retailer Competition

RILA submitted comments to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) addressing four supply chain disruption causal factors, including exceptional pandemic-driven consumer demand and severe supply shortages; clogged ports and transportation constraints; ongoing labor shortages; and the role of the ocean carrier industry in supply chain disruptions. The comments also highlight the vital role of the maritime industry in supply chains and how the FTC can work with Department of Justice, Federal Maritime Commission on congressional leaders on promoting competition in this sector.
