UPDATE: Retailers Continue Relief Efforts

As the recovery efforts from Hurricane Harvey begin in Texas, retailers around the country remain committed to helping affected communities recover and rebuild. In addition to contributing millions of dollars to disaster relief funds, America’s most recognized brands are donating food, supplies, shelter, and manpower to on-the-ground recovery operations.

In addition, as the East Coast awaits landfall of Hurricane Irma, retailers are working around the clock to ensure store shelves are stocked and associates and customers remain safe. While the total impact of Irma is yet to be determined, the industry remains on-call and ready to provide supplies and emergency response as needed.

Details of RILA member companies’ individual commitments to date, as well as information on how to contribute, can be found here. RILA will continue updating information on retailers’ hurricane relief efforts and how the public can help in the coming days.
