Overview
The Diversity & Inclusion Leaders Council (DILC) is comprised of the top executives at leading retailers who oversee all work related to diversity, inclusion, equity and belonging within their organizations.
The DILC is a practitioner-led community that provides support to member retailers at all points in their D&I organizational strategy, as well as assists all retailers in making progress from where they are, rather than a one standard definition of success. The Council broadly focuses its ongoing work on four priority issues:
- Quantifying the D&I business case
- Organization-wide participation
- Intentional succession planning for diverse talent
- Societal impact
Participating companies help shape the resources and tools of RILA’s overall Diversity & Inclusion Initiative. D&I practitioners benchmark with their peers who face similar retail industry-specific challenges, such as the ongoing brand and reputation considerations associated with millions of daily consumer interactions.
The DILC and the Diversity & Inclusion Executive Committee together comprise RILA’s Diversity & Inclusion Initiative.
RILA DILC members have full access to Council resources, found below.
