RILA COO Talks Economic Impact of Tariffs

In an interview with BBC News today, RILA Chief Operating Officer Brian Dodge shared the retail industry’s concerns with the ongoing trade war with China, specifically the negative impact of tariffs on American consumers.

As the White House weighs tariffs on another $300 billion of goods from China, Dodge noted affected products include everyday household products like clothing, shoes, consumer electronics, toys, and more. In addition to causing consumers to pay more for these items they need every day, Dodge warns the ripple effect of these tariffs will be felt throughout the American economy.
