Emily Benack

Coordinator, Public Affairs

Emily Benack supports RILA’s Government Affairs team through her role as Coordinator, Public Affairs. In this role, she assists with policy advocacy efforts in the areas of retail workforce and finance, among others. Prior to joining RILA, she spent a year as an intern with Tyson Foods, where she worked in their Global Government Affairs Office. Her major responsibilities included tracking legislation, covering hearings, and aiding in the liaison work between Congress and Tyson’s business units, particularly in the areas of agriculture, transportation, trade, labor, and food labeling. Emily holds a B.A. in Communications from The George Washington University, where she dual-minored in Political Science and American Studies and focused her independent research on consumer rhetoric surrounding dietary choices. She is a member of Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communications Association’s official Honors Society.
