RILA Board of Directors Welcomes Five New Members and Names Phil Daniele as Board Chair

Daniele will help guide the association’s strategic priorities and policy agenda.
“Phil’s leadership and deep understanding of the retail landscape make him exceptionally well suited to serve as board chair,” said Brian Dodge, RILA’s president and chief executive officer. “His commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and workforce development will be invaluable as RILA advances policies that support a competitive and resilient retail sector.”
Daniele, a more than 30-year veteran of AutoZone, assumed the role of CEO in 2024, bringing decades of experience in supply chain, merchandising, operations and commercial support.
“RILA plays a pivotal role in advocating on behalf of the industry to ensure retailers can tackle the operational and public policy challenges they face,” Daniele said. “Now is a critical time for retailers and their customers, and I look forward to the work that we will do at RILA to advocate for certainty and stability for retailers and the consumers who they serve.”
