Sophia Gonzalez is Director of Government Affairs at the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA), where she advocates on federal policy issues impacting the nation’s leading retailers.
Gonzalez brings experience in federal policy and government affairs across both the public and private sectors. Prior to joining RILA, she served on the federal government affairs team at iHeartMedia, working with policymakers and stakeholders on issues important to the company and the broader media industry.
Gonzalez previously worked on Capitol Hill, including in the offices of U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff (D-G.A.) and U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.). Sophia holds a B.A. in Political Science from Georgia College, with a minor in Criminal Justice.
