Retailers back Trade Review Act of 2025

The Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) issued the following statement in response to legislation filed by Congressman Don Bacon:

“Retailers need certainty and predictability to effectively plan investments and support millions of American jobs. The Trade Review Act of 2025 would help provide such an environment,” said Sung Chang, RILA’s vice president, international trade.

“We applaud Rep. Bacon and the co-sponsors for taking this step to reassert Congress’ constitutional role in crafting fair and durable trade policies. It is pivotal for Congress to lead as the trade landscape evolves and impacts American families and businesses of all sizes. The nation’s leading retailers support the Trade Review Act and urge Congress to pass this important legislation.”
