FAA Proposed Rulemaking on Drones Comments

RILA submitted formal comments to FAA on the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) titled “Normalizing Unmanned Aircraft Systems Beyond Visual Line of Sight Operations (BVLOS).” The NPRM represents a critical step toward unlocking the full potential of drone technology for American commerce and aligns with the national policy direction outlined in Executive Order 14307, Unleashing American Drone Dominance. The Executive Order calls for accelerating the safe integration of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) into the National Airspace System, streamlining regulatory processes, and enabling routine BVLOS operations to support domestic innovation, economic growth, and global competitiveness.
