Tech Expert Joins RILA’s Public Affairs Team

The Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) is pleased to announce Justin Goldberger has joined the association as its new vice president of technology.

Goldberger joins RILA after serving several years on Capitol Hill in Congressman A. Donald McEachin's office—most recently, as Senior Policy Advisor handling the Congressman’s technology and telecommunications work on the House Energy and Commerce Committee. Prior to working for Rep. McEachin, he worked on a number of campaigns, managing and fundraising for both congressional and state/local races.

At RILA, Goldberger will drive leading retailers’ efforts on tech policy working to ensure greater competition and innovation in businesses and industries that connect retailers to their customers.

“RILA is thrilled to welcome Justin Goldberger as a key advocate for leading retailers on tech policy issues,” said Austen Jensen, senior vice president of government affairs at RILA. “As Congress and the administration weigh changes in the tech policy and privacy arena, retailers will continue to identify and educate policymakers on anti-competitive practices that harm consumers. Justin will bring considerable insights and knowledge to these policy discussions and will be an effective advocate for leading retailers.”
