- Trends and Interest for Consumer Product Retailers
Over the past year, state attorneys general (AGs) have been active in the consumer products space. Presenters, and former state AGs, Toni Michelle Jackson and Michael Yaghi, shared insights gleaned from their attendance at a June conference that convened state attorneys general, focusing on enforcement trends for retailers to watch in 2022. Issues discussed include price gouging, harmful substances in products, environmental, and privacy concerns. They also explored how trends that the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is pursuing that might intersect with state AGs’ areas of interest.
