Elena Kraus

Treasurer, RLC - Senior Vice President & General Counsel

Elena Kraus is senior vice president and general counsel of Walgreen Co., based in Deerfield, Illinois. She is responsible for leading the legal function of Walgreens. 
  
Prior to this role, Kraus served as divisional vice president of commercial legal business partners and services group, where she led a group of attorneys and legal paraprofessionals charged with providing legal services to the business units of Walgreens.  
  
Kraus joined Walgreens in 1991 as staff attorney, was promoted to director of transactional law in 2006 and to divisional vice president in 2013. Prior to joining Walgreens, she was in private practice at the Chicago office of DLA Piper.  
 
Kraus graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts degree in government and earned her JD from DePaul University College of Law.
