Transportation and Infrastructure Committee

Retail supply chains operate 24 hours a day 7 days a week, and no one understands that better than the executives who comprise RILA’s Transportation and Infrastructure Committee (TRIC).  These heads of transportation from leading retail companies are some of the largest freight movers in the world and have a unique insight on domestic and global transportation networks.

TRIC focuses on operational, regulatory, and policy issues that affect the movement of goods.  Operationally, TRIC members benchmark on common challenges, and work to identify forward-looking solutions that reduce disruptions, increase efficiency and ensure that U.S. supply chains remain competitive on the world stage.

On the policy front, TRIC members continue to work closely with lawmakers, the Administration, and other stakeholders to keep retail transportation priorities front and center— actively advocating for sensible planning, maintenance, and funding of infrastructure projects.  As some of the largest consistent users of ports and surface transportation infrastructure, leading retailers must play a role in determining how infrastructure dollars are targeted for maximum impact on freight movement.

The Transportation Committee is focused on the transportation networks of today and tomorrow.   For more information, contact Jess Dankert, vice president, supply chain at jess.dankert@rila.org or Sarah Gilmore, director of government affairs at sarah.gilmore@rila.org.
