Court: U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit
The RLC supported the employer’s motion to dismiss at the trial stage in this case where the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) sued the employer alleging that its standard-form separation agreement violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act. The motion was granted and the EEOC appealed. The RLC filed a brief asking the 7th Circuit to affirm the lower court’s dismissal of the case and provided practical examples of how standard-form separation agreements benefit both the employer and the employee.
The Court affirmed the district court's judgment.
