RILA, UL Connect Retailers to Transformative Solutions

6 RILA communities to benefit from UL’s expertise

The Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) and UL today announced a strategic partnership, through which members of RILA’s executive operational communities can collaborate with UL to leverage its cross-functional expertise and industry leadership.

This partnership will enable UL to collaborate with key decision-makers and subject matter experts from every retail vertical. UL will attend RILA committee meetings and produce numerous articles and white papers throughout 2020 to share their industry insights and showcase their expansive offering of innovative solutions.

“UL is a true leader in developing data-driven, innovative approaches to solve some of businesses’ most complex challenges, particularly with regards to safety, security and sustainability,” said RILA President Brian Dodge. “This partnership will allow our executive communities visibility into the cutting-edge solutions shaping the future of these disciplines. We’re excited about the collaboration and know that UL will be a strong partner for our members in the year ahead.”

Gitte Schjotz, senior vice president and president of UL’s Retail and Industry business, said, “The retail industry is in a period of tremendous disruption and our team is focused on supporting businesses to manage and mitigate potential risks. Our partnership with RILA provides a great opportunity to demonstrate the value of leveraging our scientific leadership and using our solutions to solve critical challenges and drive confidence and trust with the various stakeholders across their supply chains.”

The strategic partnership officially began January 1, 2020.
