2018 EHS & Sustainability Management Forum to Include Retail

Today the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) announced a partnership with the National Association for Environmental Management (NAEM) for the 2018 Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS) & Sustainability Management Forum.

The Forum brings together environmental, health, and safety (EHS) and sustainability decision-makers for education, networking, and best practice discussions. The program features a peer-developed agenda across five learning tracks. The partnership with RILA will bring speakers and topics developed for retailers into the conference program.

“We found our partnership with NAEM last year and the Forum to be extremely valuable to our community of retail environmental professionals. The Forum brings together best-in-class educational programming with the opportunity to connect and collaborate with peers across multiple industries on the key topics and challenges we all face,” said Tiffin Shewmake, vice president, RILA and executive director of the Center for Retail Compliance. “We look forward to another successful year as partners and can’t wait to see everyone in Louisville in October.”

"NAEM's Forum is a unique opportunity for corporate leaders to meet those who are translating sustainability from aspiration to operation," said NAEM Executive Director Carol Singer Neuvelt. "As stakeholders continue to expect transparency and leadership from the business community, there is an even greater need for collaboration across disciplines and industries to meet that demand. In its second year, our collaboration with RILA and the Center for Retail Compliance is an important step toward building a sustainable business ecosystem, and we welcome the chance to grow these connections again this year."

NAEM’s EHS & Sustainability Management Forum will take place October 23-26, 2018 in Louisville, Kentucky. A discounted rate for registration is available to all RILA members. In conjunction with the Forum, RILA will host a meeting of its Retail Environmental Compliance committee, open to all retailers, at the Forum venue on October 23. This meeting is in partnership with RILA’s Center for Retail Compliance (CRC).
