In fall 2024, the Occupational Safety and Health Agency (OSHA) published a Proposed Rule intended to clarify employer obligations and necessary measures to protect employees from hazardous heat in the workplace. RILA participated in the Employers Heat Illness Prevention Coalition, which filed comments detailing businesses concerns about the overly broad and burdensome requirements within the Proposed Rule, including frequency of daily temperature monitoring.
