Tractor Supply Hosts Inaugural Life Out Here Hackathon

Over 10 days in September, Tractor Supply - the largest farm and ranch lifestyle retailer with more than 2,000 stores and a robust eCommerce platform -- brought together participants from over 110 countries across the globe to work on their inaugural Life Out Here Hackathon. Nearly 2,800 participants took part, creating teams and building projects for eight different competitions within the event. Tractor Supply also recruited 18 industry leading sponsors, like Microsoft, NVIDIA, and Google Cloud, hosting 22 events throughout the Hackathon.

This event was founded to get fresh perspectives on AI and Machine Learning use cases and to demonstrate a high level of commitment to innovation across Tractor Supply. The results were inspiring – the participants invested so much into their projects while attending informative sessions from industry sponsors and communicating with their team members across continents.
The dedication of the Hackathon participants was apparent in their project submissions. From Augmented Reality to Visual Analytics, these inventive developers created solutions that will allow Tractor Supply to build more personalized, high-touch shopping experiences for customers.

This event showcased Tractor Supply’s capabilities for remaining on the forefront of cutting-edge technology to continue providing legendary service through the Mission and Values and its amazing family of over 46,000 Team Members. Tractor Supply has found a way to cultivate brand-new, diverse perspectives to solve retail industry obstacles, and because of that there are great things to come in 2022 as the Company continues to prioritize innovative ideas to support its Life Out Here strategy.
