Retail Standing Up Against Hate

#StopAAPIHate

Racially motivated hate is abhorrent and unacceptable. The recent increase in hate-driven incidents against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders is deeply disturbing and has left that community justifiably terrified and outraged. We are outraged, too.

RILA stands with Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. They are our coworkers, friends, and customers and the rise in discrimination against them must be acknowledged and we all must work to stop it.

One way that RILA is taking action is through our support for Open to All, a national nondiscrimination campaign based around the idea that everyone should be welcome regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, immigration status, religion, or disability. This effort brings together thousands of businesses, in the retail industry and beyond, to stand against discrimination, a small, but important step towards effecting change.

Discrimination and hate crimes are intolerable and RILA will continue to seek out and support efforts to ensure that all customers and employees feel safe, valued, and respected as they live, shop, and work.
