Martin Butler

Vice President, Consumer Industry Leader, USA

Martin Butler is an IBM Vice President with 30 years consulting and management experience.
 
He has a track record in driving significant business and technology change programs across Retail and Consumer Package Goods companies. His personal experience covers store operations, supply chain, finance, IT strategy, e-commerce and business process management.
 
In January 2020 Martin will be appointed IBM's Consumer Leader for the USA. He is a British citizen currently based near London. He will be relocating to New York with his wife, Rebecca. As the Consumer Leader he will be responsible for all IBM's work with US Retail, Consumer Goods, Wholesale Distribution and Agribusinesses. His main passion is supporting Retail clients and in recent years has looked to promote his views on Retail innovation via social media and the press.
 
Martin has also acted as an Advisor to the UK Government on a programme to assess the requirements of "The Digital Highstreet 2020". He worked with Senior Exec's from UK and Global Retailers, as well as colleagues from major technology firms and industry bodies such as the British Retail Consortium and the British Council of Shopping Centres.
