The Retail Industry Leaders
Association (RILA) marked the final day of the 2013 RILA Logistics Conference,
closing with Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer for Talbots
Inc., Mike Archbold, offering a unique retail leadership session from a CEO
point of view.
Mike discussed his experiences aligning functional areas with corporate goals,
driving increases in shareholder value. Mike’s perspective gave attendees an
in-depth look at how to prevail in today’s challenging business environment and
the implications in inventory and supply chain management.
“We were delighted to have Mike present today. He addressed challenges
retailers face on an everyday basis and provoked forward-thinking
strategies. Hearing a CEO perspective is truly a wonderful opportunity for our
attendees,” said Lisa LaBruno, senior vice president of retail operations.
The day concluded with veteran journalist and host of Fox News Sunday, Chris
Wallace. No stranger to the political landscape, Chris provided his behind-the-scenes
perspective on President Obama’s second term, the new Congress and what to
expect in 2013 and beyond.
“As we close our record-breaking 2013 Logistics Conference, we are pleased
to be a premier resource for industry professionals and continue to strive to
offer the most diverse, educational content possible,” said LaBruno.
