Today, the Retail Industry Leaders Association, the trade association for America's most recognized and innovative retail brands, issued a statement following the President's signing of a proclamation authority that would impose a tariff on large residential washers:
"While we support the Administration's goal of increasing U.S. manufacturing, America's retailers are concerned with the burden these tariffs will place on American households. We will continue to work with the Administration to voice the concerns of retail and our customers while ensuring American businesses remains competitive," said Hun Quach, vice president of international trade, RILA.
RILA is the trade association of the world's largest and most innovative retail companies. RILA members include more than 200 retailers, product manufacturers, and service suppliers, which together account for more than $1.5 trillion in annual sales, millions of American jobs, and more than 100,000 stores, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centers domestically and abroad.
