Today, the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA), the trade association for America’s largest and most recognized retailers, applauded the Senate HELP Committee’s approval of John Ring to the NLRB. The group issued the following statement urging a full Senate vote as soon as possible:
“A fully operational NLRB is paramount to providing certainty to employers and employees about how workforce laws are to be interpreted and applied,” said Evan Armstrong, vice president of government affairs for RILA. “We thank the HELP Committee for their vote and strongly support the approval of Mr. Ring. We urge the full Senate to confirm him without delay.”
RILA is the trade association of the worlds largest and most innovative retail companies. RILA members include more than 200 retailers, product manufacturers, and service suppliers, which together account for more than $1.5 trillion in annual sales, millions of American jobs, and more than 100,000 stores, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centers domestically and abroad.
