Learning Formats

At the RLAW Virtual Education Conference, innovative learning formats and engaging spaces that foster knowledge are crucial to aligning your educational needs with your learning level and interests.

We're excited to offer a mix of instruction-based educational sessions led by some of the brightest law firms, as well as opportunities for you to learn and share from your retail industry peers. Keep your skill set competitive and fresh with our varied learning formats focusing on broad industry issues, focused retail-specific topics, discussions on questions keeping you up at night, and advice from the general counsel from the biggest retailers.

Education Sessions

Networking Sessions

General Sessions

World-class legal experts inspire and share their unique experiences, knowledge, and insights on the latest developments affecting in-house legal teams.

Retailer Roundtables*

Retailer Roundtables are small-group opportunities for fellow retailers to discuss the most press legal issues facing in-house legal counsel today. Each roundtable throughout the conference will be focused on a specific topic or legal issue. Join other retail executives facing similar challenges for a moderated conversation. These roundtables will be moderated by both an in-house and outside legal expert to keep the conversation energetic.

CLE Sessions

The foundation of the RLAW Education conference is our retail-specific CLE Sessions. These sessions will be a blend of lecture-based and interactive instruction. These 50-minute sessions typically begin with 30 minutes of speaker-led content following by 20 minutes of interactive opportunities for attendees to ask follow-up questions, raise pressing topics, and interact with the speakers.

Ask-a-GC Session*

Our Ask-a-GC Sessions are our most popular sessions, led by an in-house general counsel and an outisde law firm legal expert, this is a unique opportunity to have your questions answered by some of the most noteable GCs in the industry. These sessions begin with a quick "fireside" chat and then attendees have an opportunity to ask their most burning questions on legal issues, the industry, career advice, and more!

How to Sign Up for a Conversation Session

*Attendees must be registered by October 1 to participate.

Ask-a-GC and Retail Round Table Sessions are limited to 15 attendees, and all attendees are limited to attend one of these session types. These sessions are meant to be interactive among attendees, which means all session participants are required to participate with full audio and video.

In early October, attendees will receive an email to select their top five (5) preferred sessions between the Retailer Roundtables and Ask-a-GC sessions. RILA will make the best effort possible to place you in your priority sessions. In the event that all sessions are filled, there is a chance you may not be able to attend one of these sessions.

You will receive confirmation of your session the week before the conference begins.

Please note that we have limited seats available, as a result, we may not be able to accommodate all attendees who request a conversation session.
