The Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) closed out the 2012 RILA Logistics Conference today with a highly anticipated presentation from DC guru and editor and publisher of the Cook Political Report, Charlie Cook. Known as an authority on U.S. elections and political trends, Cook shared his outlook and insights on the ins and outs of today’s American political scene.
“As Washington's most trusted, and most accurate voice on all things political, Cook gave a tremendous and thought-provoking presentation, leaving attendees with a firm grasp on what the landscape could look like heading into the 2012 elections, ” said Casey Chroust, executive vice president of retail operations.
Finally, Eric Greitens, Navy SEAL, author, Rhodes Scholar & CEO of The Mission Continues brought the conference to a close with an inspiring session based from his experiences as a Navy SEAL, White House fellow, and award-winning humanitarian leader. Greitens explored why people follow a leader, what it means to serve, and how people can positively impact the lives of others. Greitens highlighted the power of humility and argued that true leaders challenge their followers.
