Today, Retail Industry Leaders Association Executive Vice President of Government Affairs Jennifer Safavian issued a statement of support following the Senate's release of the "Tax Cuts and Jobs Act" that puts the nation one step closer to much needed tax reform:
"RILA welcomes the Senate Finance Committee's introduction of its tax reform legislation aimed at helping American families and businesses. This, coupled with passage today of the House's version from the Ways and Means Committee is an encouraging sign that tax reform is within reach. We applaud House and Senate leadership for their commitment to moving tax reform forward and we look forward to continuing to work with lawmakers to ensure that legislation that achieves our shared goals is signed into law."
