LPAS 2009 - Serious Business Education with Real ROI
The Retail Industry Leaders Association’s (RILA) 2009 Loss Prevention Auditing and Safety Conference, which concluded May 6, was a incredible success.
More than 700 retailers, manufacturers and service providers rallied in Orlando, Florida, for the four day event to share their perspectives on the top issues facing loss prevention including: organized retail crime, retail threat assessment, global loss prevention strategies and managing in a down economy. Attendees heard from industry experts such as Marvin Ellison, executive vice president of U.S. stores for The Home Depot and legendary Los Angeles Chief of Police Bill Bratton. The conference closed with a free seminar on telephone interviewing presented by Wicklander-Zulawski.
“We’ve heard nothing but great things about this year’s conference,” said Casey Chroust, senior vice president of retail operations. “From meaningful content and tremendous speakers to an impressive exhibit hall and great energy and engagement from our conference attendees; LPAS 2009 was nothing less than exceptional and we look forward to an even bigger and better event in 2010.”
RILA’s unique collaborative model, invites supporting industries, such as product manufacturers and service suppliers, to the table with retailers to work together to solve problems, innovate and ensure the highest quality experience for consumers.
Preparation for the 2010 LP conference is already in the works and we look forward to continuing to deliver the most thought provoking programming for our conference attendees.
