Timothy R. Baer is executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for Target. His areas of responsibility include the law department, government affairs, assets protection, corporate risk and responsibility, and Target Brands, Inc., the corporation’s brand management and compliance subsidiary.
In 1994, Tim joined Target as assistant general counsel and was promoted to his current position in 2007.
Tim is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and the American Society of Corporate Secretaries. He also serves as a board member of Catholic Charities of St. Paul and Minneapolis and on the board of governors of St. Thomas School of Law.
He graduated from Princeton University in 1982 with a degree in Economics and from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1985.
