Jim Neill is responsible for the oversight of the RILA/British Retail Consortium joint effort to establish a global safety standard for consumer products. The initiative advances the retail industry’s objective of complimenting existing product safety requirements by addressing safety protocols for manufacturer and supplier operations.
Neill has more than 13 years experience working in and with the legislative and executive branches and has held several high level positions including his most recent position as assistant vice president of corporate affairs for the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), where he led that organization's product safety coalition. Prior to NAM, Neill was director of convention committees for the 2004 Republican National Convention, and before that served roles in and around Capitol Hill for former Sens. Bill Frist (TN) and Spencer Abraham (MI) as well as former Wisconsin Gov. Tommy Thompson.
