Led the development and oversight of all RILA retail operation committees, councils and events, in addition to driving all of their agendas and expanding all issues pertinent to RILA membership.
· RILA environmental sustainability and compliance offerings: include the RILA Sustainability Initiative (RSI) and Environmental Sustainability and Compliance Conference (ESCC) through which RILA helps leading retail companies meet environmental standards relevant to the retail industry and pursue responsible environmentally sustainable activities and business practices and address the key operational aspects of sustainability and environmental compliance.
· Supply Chain Leaders Council: enables senior executives within the retail supply chain to meet, network, explore and critique the business implications of a wide spectrum of supply chain subjects and offer strategic direction.
· Transportation and Infrastructure Committee: covers all transportation and domestic distribution infrastructure issues from both policy and operational perspectives.
· Privacy Leaders Council: provides chief privacy officers the opportunity to address privacy issues affecting the retail industry, such as behavioral advertising, mobile marketing, CAN-SPAM, RFDI and personally identifiable information.
· Consumer Product Safety Standards: enables members to work together to develop and implement industry product safety standards.
· Crimes Against Business Committee: brings together Asset Protection/Loss Prevention professionals responsible for the investigative disciplines and is a forum for the sharing of expertise, experience and issues relating to reducing crimes against business, including Organized Retail Crime, internal theft, cyber crime, active shooters and more.
Revitalized RILA’s:
· Workplace Safety Committee, bringing together RILA member company professionals responsible for the workplace safety disciplines. The committee develops best practice guides, plans topical sessions for the Loss Prevention, Auditing and Safety Conference, benchmarks company procedures and shares insight.
· Operational Store Audit Committee, composed of RILA professionals responsible for in-store operational audits, covering loss prevention, risk management, human resources, daily store operations, distribution centers and compliance.
Produced continued strength and leadership in RILA’s:
· Annual Logistics conference, which helps retailers increase productivity, streamline operations, maximize efficiency and lower costs, grow industry peer networking and participate in interactive forums attended by top retail supply chain executives.
· Annual Loss Prevention Auditing & Safety conference, which is an educational event where retailers can develop strategies to manage risk and drive performance in a volatile economic environment and a rapidly changing world.

Casey Chroust leads RILA’s efforts in the association's five key retail disciplines: supply chain, finance, human resources, asset protection, and enterprise issues, which includes sustainability, product safety and IT. He manages all best practice, benchmarking and research initiatives as well as educational programming and executive networking to promote operational excellence within the industry. Chroust works intimately with retailer, product manufacturer and solution provider executives while managing RILA’s executive leader councils and steering committees.
Prior to joining RILA in 2007, Chroust spent a decade at BearingPoint, formerly KPMG Consulting, in their retail management consulting practice. In this capacity, he consulted with numerous Fortune 500 retail companies and their senior executives on various strategic initiatives within store operations, supply chain, merchandising and store development. Chroust developed BearingPoint’s retail supply chain event management and retail store development solutions. He lived overseas for several years working for international retailers in England, Peru and Thailand.
Recognized as one of the leading retail experts in the U.S., Chroust has been quoted in numerous newspaper and magazine articles and appeared in several television segments, including media outlets such as the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Women’s Wear Daily, Mass Market Retailers, Fox News, ABC News, and National Public Radio. He has been a featured speaker at numerous retail conferences and events.
From 1997 to 2000, Chroust served on the Board of Trustees for Denison University, his alma mater. Chroust graduated Phi Beta Kappa with honors from Denison, majoring in Economics with a minor in Spanish and a concentration in Mathematics.
