Craig Menear is chairman, CEO and president of The Home Depot. He has more than three decades of experience in the retail and hardware home improvement industry, more than half of which have been with the company.
With a focus on the extended aisle and uniting our store and dot-com operations, Craig and his team are creating a seamless interconnected retail experience. During this tenure with The Home Depot, Craig revamped the company's merchandising operations and strategy, sparking industry-leading product innovation. He and his team also executed one of the most dramatic supply chain transformations in retail history.
In 2013, under Craig's leadership, HomeDepot.com sales grew 50 percent and accounted for $900 million of the company's total sales growth of $5 billion.
In February 2014, Craig was named president – U.S. retail where he was responsible for the operations of nearly 2,000 stores, our fast-growing online business, merchandising, marketing and supply chain. Previously, Craig held several positions of increasing responsibility, including executive vice president of merchandising, senior vice president of merchandising for hardlines, vice president of merchandising for hardware, vice president of merchandising for the Southwest Division and divisional merchandise manager for the Southwest Division.
Prior to joining The Home Depot in 1997, Craig held various merchandising positions within the retail industry with companies such as IKEA, Builders Emporium, Grace Home Centers and Montgomery Ward, as well as operating an independent retail business.
